Come out to Champions Square for the Inaugural New Orleans International Beer Festival Saturday, March 24, 2012. Showcasing two ounce unlimited sampling of the craft beers from around the world combined with great food, a separate beer garden for "cask" beer, music and games!
The Inaugural New Orleans International Beer Festival will showcase the growing popularity of craft beers from around the country and the world in a relaxed and friendly outdoor environment. Patrons will receive a commemorative sampling mug and have access to unlimited, two-ounce sampling of over 150 craft beers in the Gordon Biersch Beer Garden, Covington Brewhouse Beer Garden, Tin Roof Brewing Company Beer Garden, Saint Arnold Brewing Company Beer Garden and a separate NOLA Brewing beer garden for "cask" beer. The festival will also feature the Samuel Adams Brew University Education Area where patrons will enjoy beer seminars such as Cooking with Beer, Food Pairings, How to Brew Beer and other beer education sessions. Come enjoy the beautiful outdoor atmosphere with live music and fun games.

Audubon Nature Institute is gearing up for it's fourth annual “Get Yah Praise On”. Come out for great hand clapping, foot stomping, spirit filled gospel music experience, featuring the sounds of local artists Tara Alexander and Collage III. This great gospel celebration will also feature a live concert by international gospel artist Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr. The event will take place at the Audubon Zoo’s Capital One Stage. "Get Yah Praise On" is presented by The Bardell Company and Coaxum Enterprises, Incorporated and is sponsored in part by Tabasco Brand Products.

Don't miss out on the 65th annual City Park Big Bass Fishing Rodeo and Fishtival! Make plans to "drop a line" on Saturday, March 31st. Registration will take place at City Park's Parkview Café (located in the Timken Center) from 6:00am to 8:30am. Weigh-in will take place at 11:00am. Several categories are available for both adults and children. Registration is only $10 per adult and $5 per child (12 and under). The Fishtival will entertain & educate from 9:00am until 1:00pm. The New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) and the Garden Study Club of New Orleans will celebrate Art in Bloom – New Orleans: Life in Color on March 14-18, 2012. This 26th annual Art in Bloom fundraiser is a chance to acknowledge all of the creativity and beauty of New Orleans.
NOMA will be transformed into a place of color and flowers during this five day event as Art in Bloom showcases over 75 exhibitors, including floral designers, garden clubs, and artists. Proceeds from Art in Bloom benefit the educational projects and exhibitions at NOMA and the community projects of the Garden Study Club, including the New Orleans Botanical Gardens, Beauregard-Keyes House, Lazarus House, and Longue Vue Gardens. This years Art in Bloom is co-chaired by Jenny Charpentier and Gwathmey Gomila.
